Fun Fact

In 2016, Funko Dorbz turned Raphael into #53, shrinking the hothead Turtle into a round, pocket-friendly grin. He still brought 1987 cartoon attitude, but in a softer shape fit for shelves.

#53 Raphael

Description

This Dorbz-style figure represents Raphael from the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, based on the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show. In that animated series, heโ€™s one of the four sewer-dwelling turtle brothers who fight crime in New York. The property has long-standing pop-culture recognition through its TV run and characters. The Funko DORBZ release is numbered #53 and comes in the rounded Dorbz size with a simple, smiling expression and closed eyes. Heโ€™s shown in green with an orange-red eye mask, striped arm bands, and a yellow plastron with an โ€œRโ€ belt buckle at the center. Two sai are visible crossed across his front, with brown straps and silver blades as the main accessory detail.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Four turtles fall into the sewers and are befriended by Hamato Yoshi a Japanese man sent to New York who was forced to live in the sewers. One day he sees a strange green glow which transforms the four turtles into human-like creatures. Hamato (now Master Splinter) changes into a giant rat from the green glow and teaches the turtles the skills of the ninja as they team up with news reporter April O'Neil to battle against Yoshi's arch enemy Shredder and Krang, an alien warlord from Dimension X.
